Ratingen/München At this year’s bauma – the leading trade fair for the construction industry – Hünnebeck will be presenting a wide range of solutions that help increase productivity and improve safety on construction sites (hall B3, booth 248 in Munich). An expanded modular system for infrastructure construction, comprehensive bridge construction expertise, the latest safety technology for fall protection and the provision of digital services that speed up work are the highlights on display at the trade fair booth.
« The motto of our presence at bauma is ‘Increased productivity, greater safety’, because these are precisely the challenges that our customers are facing, » explains Martin Hemberger, Vice President Forming & Shoring International at BrandSafway. « Increasing safety requirements (but above all the shortage of skilled workers) mean that our customers have to be extremely efficient. All available resources need to be used optimally, » says Hemberger, describing the current situation in the German and international construction industry. In Germany alone, there will be a shortage of up to 100,000 skilled construction workers as soon as 2030, according to the latest figures from the « Deutsche Bauindustrie » (Federation of the German Construction Industry). The situation is similar in other countries.
Hemberger is convinced that, « With this in mind, we are particularly well positioned with our products and services. They are holistically and sustainably designed to generate efficient, safe and thus economical construction processes, even under difficult conditions. » Hünnebeck relies on systems consisting of as few components as possible. The basic components can be flexibly combined and facilitate intuitive use. Integrated safety features ensure safety and decisive productivity advantages on site every day.
Increased expertise for infrastructure construction
One aspect that Hünnebeck will focus on at bauma will be the rapidly growing field of infrastructure construction. The modular Infra-Kit system has been expanded to include further applications, such as the parapet traveller for efficient forming and renovation of bridge edges. Moreover, the system stands out with its wide range of applications in tunnelling, bridge construction and structural engineering, which will be impressively demonstrated at the bauma booth.
Visitors to the booth will also find out about the advantages offered by the strategic partnership between Hünnebeck and the Norwegian bridge construction specialist Strukturas. Strukturas complements the Hünnebeck portfolio with further capacities for projects with mobile scaffold systems and form travellers – from planning and delivery to assembly and dismantling of the systems. This is just the next step in Hünnebeck’s expanding role as an expert partner for complex bridge construction projects, for example in cantilever construction.
Faster edge protection with Protecto G2
The enhanced Protecto edge protection system is another innovative product: With a newly developed mesh panel and railing post with quick-release fastener, the tried-and-tested edge protection system is even more productive and versatile than before. The compression post, which allows edge protection to be affixed to slab edges without drilling and without screws, will also be on display at bauma. This saves installation time and eliminates the need for costly repairs to the concrete.

Hünnebeck will also be demonstrating the continuing expansion of its digital services at its trade fair booth. Visitors can experience live how the digital customer platform « myHuennebeck » can support them in their daily work. With just a few clicks, users receive a transparent and up-to-date overview of the status of their construction projects.
Fast and safe
Of course, the fair will not neglect the current generations of Hünnebeck Manto G3 and Rasto G2 wall formwork. Both systems impress with single-sided tying, integrated fasteners, compatible platform systems and easy-to-clean plastic form lining – structural details that increase the speed and thus productivity of traditional systems.
In the field of slab formwork, the Topmax steel framed table forms and the Topec modular formwork are the tried-and-tested original products for productivity and safety. Visitors to the booth will also be able to watch the ST 60 shoring tower being erected live. The high-performance shoring system can be set up very quickly and very safely.
At bauma, this will be done by Brand Energy & Infrastructure Services, another BrandSafway company. « Together with our sister companies, we already offer the assembly of shoring systems in selected countries. Even in times of a shortage of skilled workers, we can help to support our customers professionally and, above all, safely in the event of personnel shortages, » explains Hemberger.

In order to also reach customers who are not coming to Munich, Hünnebeck has created a hybrid trade fair presence. Events are held in international locations, from where a live link to the exhibition stand will be provided. This will allow business partners and potential customers anywhere in the world to be involved in discussions and demonstrations.
