Hünnebeck by BrandSafway and Strukturas extend their bridge construction partnership
Combined expertise now offered in Poland, Romania, and Italy
Ratingen, June 2022 – Hünnebeck by BrandSafway, one of the leading international manufacturers of formwork and scaffolding systems, and Strukturas, a specialist provider for bridge construction equipment, have agreed to extend their strategic partnership. In July 2021, both partners agreed to offer their comprehensive portfolio for complex bridge construction projects from a single source. Customers benefit from the combined approach and less coordination effort, which allows significant time and cost savings.
The successful partnership has already enabled several joint projects in the past months, and was therefore extended to Poland, Romania and Italy. All enquiries will be handled by Hünnebeck as the central point of contact.
Strukturas brings its long-term expertise for movable scaffolding systems (MSS) as well as for the planning, delivery and assembly of form travelers into this partnership. Hünnebeck plans and supplies formwork systems for piers, abutments, trough structures and parapets, heavy-duty shoring systems as well as safety and height access technology for the construction site.
“The collaboration between Hünnebeck and Strukturas is taking a next, important step. It will allow our customers in Poland, Romania and Italy to benefit from the high competencies of both companies in bridge building and renovation projects”, says Gerald Schönthaler, Managing Director of Hünnebeck Austria and Director Infrastructure at Hünnebeck internationally.
Øyvind Karlsen, General Manager at Strukturas, adds: “We are proud that we could already contribute our shared knowledge to a technically sophisticated infrastructure jobsite in Romania, where we realized a formwork solution for a new bridge construction on the Sibiu-Pitesti highway. “ The underslung form traveller from Strukturas, together with the modular Infrakit system from Hünnebeck, were used to create the superstructure of the 651 m long viaduct quickly and economically.
